You talk about misleading investors, lets start with more transparency with the shorts. The internet has changed how retail buys and sells. No broker needed. Show a marker with each buy and sell from a short, never mind waiting for every 2 weeks. Then you can see why the stock is rising or falling because of shorts. Plus put a minimum price that a stock can be shorted. My institution doesn't allow stocks under $3.00 to be shorted. At least 10 Billion every 2 weeks. The foxes guarding the henhouse say it doesn't affect the market. Ya right!
