Pallinghurst - Traxys JV unlikely to upset the locals

why would they sacrifice a significant investment that they are already getting a major stake for a bargain basement price (0.25c), for the sake of what in value? The project will be generating a roughly 75% profit margin earning roughly 300 million (plus) dollars a year? Why would they not have settled on the original proposal that they nogotiated over six months, where the existing management are doing ALL that is being asked of them? Why would they upset 25k Quebec investors, or the First Nation labour force? Why would they upset the Local and National Governments of the region on where they intend to operate? Why would they back track on their joint venture statements;

Arne H. Frandsenco-founder and Managing Partner of the Pallinghurst Group commented:

“The electric vehicle and energy storage revolution is gaining pace. The future demand for the critical battery grade materials is set for explosive growth. Pallinghurst-Traxys has its exclusive focus on the ethical and sustainable sourcing and development of battery materials. We shall focus on projects that will minimise carbon footprint and environmental impact. Where possible, our investments will strive to use power generated from hydroelectric and other renewable sources. As a responsible supplier of battery materials, we will emphasise safety of operations and operate with full accountability vis-a-vis communities and all other stakeholders. Together, Pallinghurst-Traxys, will provide the necessary capital and hands-on expertise to ensure that our investments become successful as leading and sustainable players in the battery materials space.”

There is no doubt project will be completed with or without Traxys, either full package if can fund it (best should be a new management) or by stage 1st mine and then LiOH. For First Nation Labour force just a matter of delay no real change, for Qc government if project completed in 6 months, 1, 2 or 3 years not a big game. Only retails will be wash out of this future cash machine. Why would ...more

25 cents is assuming bonds remain in place, if bonds due to be obtained through equity need C$600M of PG + C$450M, just that means more offer at 15 cents.
Comment by mick1888 on Jan 18, 2020 9:16am
Well there you go TeddyB, you've just sold me a GREAT compromise - $600m @ 0.25 and $450m @ 0.15. And the retail get offered to participate at 0.15 - brilliant.... ;-) GLTA longs
Comment by TeddyBear on Jan 18, 2020 9:21am
At 15 will exit from 15.5 loll, but put a probability of less 5% retails will get pennies.

please remember NMX is Halted at the moment and will be delisted. NMX is INSOLVENT and under CCAA protection. No investment company will invest in a company that is under CCAA, always they will stay on sidelines and wait for liquidation. NMX even if it wants to trade again, it has to trade on different platform after delisting... If NMX was to trade on another platform, it will be dump time...SP ...more

CalAB, lets play your game and make another assumption, this would include using Livents PE as they are a good comparison to use as a NMX in production. We will not even use Livents current PE (15.4), but will use their last summer PE (9.5). Now to get started; shares 6.5B / earnings 495m = EPS 0.076 EPS 0.076 * PE 9.5 = Share Price 0.73 Good Game..... ;-D

LOL...if it was that easy... companies selling Billions a year and they still lose money...this management will never be able to have 450 million net profit a year.
Comment by mick1888 on Jan 18, 2020 10:00pm
CalAB, who said anything about this management, it's Pallinghurst / Traxys ambition to develop and control the companies they invest in, their words; Through the Joint Venture, Pallinghurst and Traxys will invest in and establish controlling positions in projects to develop and supply responsibly and ethically sourced materials to the growing rechargeable battery and energy storage industry.  ...more

I see, then they will probably buy nmx in liquidation... but as far as nmx as going concern forget it... nmx is done
Comment by Bismuth08 on Jan 19, 2020 9:56pm
nmx n'est pas mort encore...
Comment by Bismuth08 on Jan 18, 2020 11:59pm
Personne ici connait ce ...more

Comment by Bismuth08 on Jan 19, 2020 1:53pm
Comment by bigkagan on Jan 19, 2020 2:32pm
pardon my french but we'll know for sure what's going on next month when the credit protection expires, right?
Comment by TeddyBear on Jan 19, 2020 2:52pm
Nope will be renew again, Pwc mention around 6 months for CCAA. Will get more info, but bet more around march/april (JV, sales, ...) ... and BK not totally exclude especially if they loose against Nordic.
Comment by bigkagan on Jan 19, 2020 6:11pm
what's the difference between forebearance and CCAA?
Comment by joeman on Jan 19, 2020 3:55pm
C'est plein ca mon pote.
Comment by TeddyBear on Jan 19, 2020 2:54pm
Comment by Richard2020 on Jan 20, 2020 9:28am
Comment by TeddyBear on Jan 20, 2020 10:04am

Comment by TeddyBear on Jan 20, 2020 1:16pm
Comment by Tcheck on Jan 18, 2020 1:36pm
Mick you mean  retail will participate at 0.25 cents .the new shareprice set by pallinghurste. they can set the price for the deal at 30 cents for that matter. flexibility of negotiations . be creative . dont sell yourself short. the problem is IQ. pallinghurst deals with IQ. not with nemaska. IQ does not have our interests at heart. they are the pig unknown
Comment by Calgary_AB on Jan 18, 2020 2:17pm
LOL... there is no shortage of stupidity and how business works... it's like Tesla wants to sell you an EV for 35,000 but you negotiate to pay for it 45,000 because you are invested in their stock... PL doesn't set any price...they offer a price and NMX can accept it or not... PL would be as stupid as Tcheck if they offer to pay more than NMX asks for it... PL would actually be stupid to ...more

Tcheck, although I was disappointed with what minister PF said the other day, I've now come to the conclusion that really he is saying what is most beneficial to the Nemaska bond hearing cause. In other words a typical slippery politician. He will not let down his own local voters, 25k of them (multiplied by family / friends) and the First Nation. To be honest there is no need for ...more

mick, try to take the rose glasses off and ask the questions: why would anybody in their right mind sacrifice a significant investment to get a major stake at an inflated price of 0.25 when the SP is trading below 0.15? The project is not proven to work or ever be finished to produce anything? The management did not do everything it was asked of them... who cares how many thousands of Quebec ...more
