And this is exactly why there are EIGHT bidders for this project. They can separate the 'wheat from the chaff' and already know the true value of NMX. Regardless of the agenda of 'that Minister', the market will determine the worth and IMO that will surprise many, especially if this goes to the auction stage of the process. For me it is obvious that the Minister has a ...more

Right there is something fishy in Minister comments, unecessarely aggresive against anything not fitting with his buddy interest ... but for sure no care for Quebecer

They also quote previous month average battery grade lithium carbonate (99.5%) and lithium hydroxide per tonne at 42,750 yuan and 51,375 yuan respectively (domestic China), with prices in the current month lower by 4% and 3.65%.  At the current exchange rate (7.077/0.1413) to U.S. dollars, that is US$6,040.58/tonne and US$7,259.29/tonne respectively. Lithium price is complex and sometimes obscure, Joe Lowry data are more reliable for us as based on commercial sales to Tier-1 battery/cathode maker (Panasonic, LG, ..). For example SQM use to obtain battery grade by lot selection, so need to dump lower quality at low cost ($6-7) to Chinese transformer who purify salt and sold them at battery quality price. Joe Lowry is very well connected to ...more

NMX maintain $14/kg for LiOH in last financial, nor lithium price nor market is problem for NMX ... just bad project/cost management and touchy financial structure. There is not 8 bidders (among 13) for nothing, pretty big amount, and seems mostly solid international player.
