On June 13, 2022, NorZinc announced the start of the 2022 work program with the mobilization of the first of two drill rigs to the property. This includes a planned drill program of 5,300 metres with the primary objectives of undertaking a successful surface exploration drill program to obtain enhanced technical information to be included in an updated Feasibility Study for the 2,400 tpd project, and to prepare for the start of the Pioneer Winter Road (“PWR”) which constitutes Phase 1 of the ASR, in Q3 2022.
The Company remains focused on the completion of Management Plans (“MPs”) associated with Phase 1, the PWR, construction and approval by Parks and the MVLWB. As of the end of the quarter, the Company has received final or conditional approvals on approximately 80% of the MPs and is expected to complete all Phase 1 MP approvals by Q3 2022, slightly later than originally expected.

A final decision by the regulatory authority, the MVLWB, is expected for the LUP with issuance in Q3 2022, along with a recommendation for the approval of the WL by the Government of the Northwest Territories Minister of Environment and Natural Resources to be undertaken within 90 days of the recommendation.
