Viking in the SpotlightNovus best value play per Mackie Research PDF. See Item # 3 below.
I just found on this PDF StockHouse posting called: "Viking in the Spotlight". (Ignore Exeter stuff.)
https://www.stockhouse.com/Blogs/ViewDetailedPost.aspx?p=99671
It is an excellent recap of the Viking - very thorough - helps to understand Novus' growth strategy.
Some good points from PDF - helps demonstrate the value in Novus:
1) "Based on our analysis of land holdings and potentially prospective acreage, we believe that junior producers such as WestFire, Sure Energy, and
Novus Energy have the highest torque to the play."
(Keep in mind, they look at many, many companies in this PDF and come up with Novus.) Novus is the best value of the 3 listed, also.
2) Dodsland is listed as the 'Biggest Viking Prize' - (60 of Novus's 75 wells are on their Dodsland property!)
3) Page 30: Risked upside per share to share price (%) - Dodsland. Novus is the top % for Upside potential.
4) Exceptional - note that Novus now has the Reece founder / driller on staff! The guy that drilled the first Viking well. Read below from the PDF, Page 6:
"Reece Energy Exploration Corp. (Reece) set the stage for Viking development by drilling its first Viking multi-stage fractured well in December 2007. Reece was the first company that really figured out how to exploit Viking oil with horizontal wells and it followed up its early success with over two dozen additional wells. Since Reece posted impressive results at Dodsland, other producers have attempted to imitate the success with varying results (Figure 6). In general, most companies are moving up the learning curve and have been progressively drilling better wells.
