Cost and scalability
Cost and scalabilityIf... and thats a big if, the company can deliver on an easily and cheaply produced cell that can be rapidly produced by a partner or partners with the means to do large scale manufacturing, this could potentially be a game changer. The western economy is at a crossroads, Tesla tech is on the ropes. If proof of concept can be established I can see large scale and rapid adoption through government and private interests investing heavily. The US needs a hail mary that can contribute to a new grid system and other solar technologies too many to mention here. Not pumping...intentionally at least but think of what a mass produced cheap and efficient solar cell could mean for the energy sector and competition and the energy welfare of the domestic construction industry.. Executive order for all new construction of transportation facilities and home building codes legislating mandatory adoption for industrial commercial and military infrastruture initiatives, hell the tech could be incorporated in so many ways its mind boggling. Anyway the late night rambling of an optimist thats gone off on a tangent. Maybe it will make more sense when i read it again in the morning.
Let's hope they can deliver.....
