Christman recommends $12m, the Government Man goes behind closed doors with Gutsy and Smart and comes out at $1m. Something stinks. Maybe Viva got a whiff.

The Director of Mineral Resources amended the QML from 12m to 1m. If the director is professionally qualified engineer, why is that a problem? Unless Christman felt hurt that his assessment was called into question by the numerous edits given that he was titled the chief engineer in the first place? To me it sounds like political plays in the department of mineral resources.   This ...more

They're both qualified and yet there's a HUGE difference in assessments. That's a problem that smacks of corruption. Who started the lawsuits.....? Take it from there.

There are many mining projects in Yukon, under the purview of Yukon Govt. https://yukon.ca/en/mining Tell me, corruption is endemic or is GPY so loaded with cash that they are worth accepting bribes from? Is this country Mexico or China? Why do we invest in the jurisdictions with the transparent rule of law, like Canada, US, Australia?

Good question but best answered by someone who lives there. WLM? What say you.. If I'm not mistaken a couple ex-premiers sit or sat on the board and one was accused (convicted?) of drug dealing or something retarded if I'm not mistaken. There was also Curragh Resources back in the 70's that had it's own share of shady closed door dealings. I believe the territory is still paying ...more
