Well to my mind. These are incentive options he can exercise if things go well but I doubt they are a replacement for his salary. In his case if things go well he can also do better. If not he still gets his salary. Our shares and options were purchased by ourselves at whatever rates we decided were prudent. The make or break of this company is much more on the shoulders of the actual investor than someone who has received company options as an incentive.
