Yeah, not a fan of this. Have nothing against Tragically Hip (don't know a single song though) but if you were to try to make HIP cannabis THE Canadian brand, why not go rub shoulders with Molsen people? Both Tim Hortons and Molsen were an economics of scale play - gently put, an "affordable" en masse product. To traslate that into cannabis, we'd need a field the size of a province producing not particularly good or potent weed, but at half the current price. BAM! Canadian product of choice. My apologies if it comes across as harsh - not trying to offend anyone, just my take on "national" brands in Canada.
