RE:RE:Newstrike promo

RE:RE:Newstrike promoThis article illustrates precisely what I have been posting about better than I could have ever hoped for. Here are some highlights.

This is a vertically-integrated cannabis company, meaning that the starting point in the Company’s operations is cultivation. Discussion of HIP’s recreational marketing coup will follow.

So as investor I am left asking the question. Where is the product ? Where are the facilities to grow the product ? Marketing coup ?

Wilgar describes the (Brantford) operation as “one of the most productive cannabis cultivation facilities in Canada.”

A facility that has a maximum output of 2,500 kilos per year is "one of the most productive cannabis cultivation facilities in Canada." What ??? That is pretty rich even for Jay Wilgar.

Here was where HIP’s CEO wanted to make an interesting observation. According to Jay Wilgar, a better metric for measuring the productivity of a cultivation facility is not simply the square footage, nor even the (raw) cultivation capacity. Instead, Wilgar pointed to “THC per square foot” as the best measurement.

Okay once I stopped laughing at this "interesting observation" I started to laugh again. Actually I am still laughing and it makes it hard to type. THC per square foot ? That is one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever heard. I will have to send him a THC tape measure to make sure he keeps productivity up to the expected levels.

At Newstrike we are committed to future growth. We take pride in our well capitalized company, and we’re in no rush to make decisions that do not line up with our corporate vision and long term objectives.

Jay Wilgar

This is his response to where the reported $118,000,000 will be spent. Can't get much more vague than that really.

A retrofit is underway. The facility is expected to be fully operational by August. The estimated annual cultivation yield is 12,500 kilograms of dried cannabis per year. But construction of HIP’s Phase II expansion for this facility is already underway.

So a retrofit is underway. Fully operational by August ? What happened to cultivation commencing in April as per their April 2nd NR ? Phase II is "underway". Well that is sure a confidence booster.

Yeah a great article that illustrates how the company continues to make promises with cheaply perfumed language that it hasn't been able to keep. Unbelievable really and shows complete disdain towards the investor.
