RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Ontario's list of Suppliers? I was not trying to be sassy or sarcastic. Sorry if it came across that way. Edibles and infused drinks are not part of this "legalization" as it stands - additional guidelines to follow. The products are being worked on and developed in hopes the broadening of the spectrum of legalized products will follow. And it will, there is no reason for it not to. But this is Canada, so legislative anything takes at least a year plus in this case there will be the usual holier-than-thou approach: "We gotta be very careful..." "We gotta protect ze children..." All that typical populist garbage. I don't know which province you're from, but in Toronto we still can't get beer sold in corner stores after years of dilly-dallying. Cause we "protecting ze chirren" ya know.
To put it short, in Canada we have the government that does a very good job of a few things: virtue signaling, inventing taxes, and creating legislative hurdles to make sure nobody can make money properly. Because we want children to grow up well protected... and poor. Poor people are easier to manage after all.
Legalization was a great idea and way overdue but it was executed so terribly that it will not bring even 10% of the benefits it could have. We might actually go down in history books as an example how NOT to do it: starting from making a retired cop in charge of legalization to dragging it out for so long that you first create a bubble and then cause it to deflate, while those who put in the actual work (as opposed to putting pen to paper) are needlessly burning cash for months stockpiling the product waiting for people who are never ready to be ready.
