Yes everyone started somewhere but in this race you start only once. It's the past 12 months that made all the difference. Jay didn't want to bother with medical play, but medical play allowed Canopy (and others) to expand internationally and will be their bridge to international recreational sales once those countries catch up on the laws. Those supply agreements are guaranteed revenue no matter how things will play out in Ontario and in Canada. Canopy and Aurora were moving very fast in the period of uncertainty because first to market is a thing. So now there is no comparison anymore. They are in the league of their own. Which is also why they are seen as almost guaranteed investment. Yes, you can lose some money in the short term (because ovehyped) but in time you will get it back. They can afford those 10-20 percent SP rollbacks, cause it's only an invitation to buy in more. Smaller guys can't cause their future is not guaranteed. It WEED or ACB will all of a sudden start trading at a huge discount, guess what - the top 5 banks will step in. If that happens to HIP - they won't. Too small and indistinguishable from hundreds of other "runners up".
