Too late to get in to NEM if goes ex dividend tomorrow Space.  You must own it the day before.  This is why it is called ex dividend or no dividend.  By the way the stock is marked down by the exact amount of the dividend on the day it goes ex dividend so in NEM's case if it does go ex tomorrow it should open down roughly 1%.  Some traders buy on the ex day to get a stock a bit cheaper. Options are adjusted to reflect this decline as well.  You do not get anything for free. OLE is looking cheap here at .39 or 16% below the offer.  TGZ closed at .78 which theoretically means that OLE should be at .45.  I am apparently one of the few here who believe that they can get a bit more.  TGZ has a very uncertain future without OLE.  We should know relatively soon.
