Little sedi action.

Amy Levine new VP clinical operations  since january 23th. Opening balance initial report, new balance = 130,000. Meaning she has already  bought 130k shares? If it's the case, good news! GL

Options granted. She hasn't purchased anything. Horrible start to the week with PFE maybe/seemingly out of the picture. If they're spending $30b this year, they're either pushing any deal with Oncy off until '24, or taking a pass outright. Who knows, my opinion.

Maybe it's options but I don't see options granted for her before. Have a good day,

Seagen (ticker: SGEN) is currently valued at about $30 billion and a buyout would likely require a premium to that. The talks are still at an early stage and there is no guarantee of a transaction, the report said, citing unidentified people familiar with the situation. 2+ billions buyout of oncy is not out because of this negociation. Could be the opposite. We will see.

Like Merck (MSD), and other Big Pharma players who are facing a looming patent cliff and the patent expiration of their blockbuster drugs, Pfizer is on the M&A hunt for new external assets. Given that the early research activities of mRNA vaccines in the treatment of solid tumors is beginning to gain Big Pharma's attention, ONCY's oncolytic virus pelareorep as a late stage immune ...more

True. Merck offered Seagen $40b last year and talks fell through,  so maybe Merck will reenter the fray to outbid PFE. It's a bit unsettling as Seagen has a lot of cancer stuff, and we don't need all the BP'S fighting over then and ignoring little old Onc. We have to remember that PFE had an exclusive with Onc years ago with a dog cancer therapy and they left Onc holding the bag ...more

We know there is a desperate need for our product. We don't know if PFE is off the board or not. With a 10bln target value, they could easily fund a deal with cash/stock and still pay 30bln for Seagen. Will they? I don't know. However, we are working with the likes of Merck Kga, Roche, Bristol and others - any of whom could easily fund our purchase. Don't forget patent cliffs total 10& ...more

what the heck does pfe acquiring another company have to do with oncy.... it does not mean squat. guess you dreamers need something to try to hold onto here so you can have a good false feeling.

Good post. I'll endeavor to keep the faith. In that last podcast Coffey was interviewed in, he stated a main intention was to get the SP up to where it should be ($1b market cap) before a buyout. The week after week failure to do so is becoming laughable. If Onc has the ammunition to do so, gd release something!!!!

Fox - it is frustrating. I believe it is about valuation. I'm confident we could've sold out for 1-3 billion to almost any BP interested in oncology. I think with the recent board additions Matt realizes now, perhaps for the first time, that a mid single digit bln partnership is not going to work. Any BP serious about us will pay the asking price but they want it all. Matt now likely ...more

Eileen, I agree accel approval is the best way to raise the share price fast. But, IMHO,  that would require Roche or Pfizer to apply with us, or apply for us, because the combo application for an AA would involve one set of their drugs, which are already licensed for sale but not with pela in the cocktail. All in my opinion. Could you clarify what you mean by this sentence: a mid single ...more

Westcoast - there has been some speculation that we could "sell" panc and Mbc for mid single digits blns, while retaining the rights to other indications. I would consider this to be "a mid single digit bln partnership." Although that has been the underlying assumption for many (including me) for years, with cause,  (because that has what the company has said) It doesn' ...more

Eileen, Thanks for your reply but it gives me pause. You say there has been "some speculation that we could "sell" panc and Mbc for mid single digits blns".  Could you point to where this speculation has occurred? I have been in ONCY for well over 10 years and read everything, compulsively about this stock. I was on the previous Yahoo boards back to deep into the V2 time ...more

IIRC, the company has in the past discussed sales for regional markets to different big pharma. The reasoning for not selling separate indications was that off label prescribinh would thwart any attempt to segment the market by indications. On the other hand, the emergence of the combo strategy with pela as an immune stimulator would indeed allow a segmenting of markets by indication. But I have ...more

Eileen, why would a BP help ONCY attain accelerated approval? This would be cutting their own throat if they were anticipating making a bid to buy ONCY. Personally I don't trust the FDA and certainly not BP. ONCY have a tough road to travel to gain any type of approval from government agencies. All the BP are aware of ONCY financial situation and unless a bidding war should occur BP is not ...more

Good observation Fox. When Thompson was at the helm he didn't want anything to do with Pfizer.
Comment by fox7mf on Feb 27, 2023 8:23pm
This 90 day exclusivity has been burdensome & may amount to squat for Onc. PFE is supposedly going over Bracelet data with a fine tooth comb, yet it's Seagen who's the rumored lottery winner. If they're spending $30b-$40b on Seagen this yr, then maybe just maybe they'll throw enough together for a bs biobucks deal for Onc. When do Oncy investors wake up to a well placed BP ...more

Fox, I am surprised at your comments. Where have you seen statements that PFE is going over Bracelet data with a fine tooth comb. I would imagine they would do that, but who knows how does anyone on a bulletin board know what is the case at present. The Seagen situation does not seem like an alternaive that excludes an agreement with us. The results last fall with Roche are also glaringly ...more

If PFE isn't going over Bracelet data, then explain to me what the 90 day exclusivity was for. In my opinion, PFE spending up $40b on another company doesn't bode well for Onc. To me, this Seagen rumor/report suggests Onc might be an afterthought for PFE. Good luck everyone, I just can't wait to get out of this investment, good or bad.
Comment by westcoast1000 on Feb 27, 2023 9:23pm
I see. You meant you suppose Pfizer is doing that, which is of course reasonable. I can certainly wait to get out of this investment if it is good. And we will not know enough to get out of it if it is bad until the final curtain. Nevertheless, at the risk of repeating myself several times, the results of last year are very strong. That is what matters. Many different companies could buy us ...more

The situation in 2023 is entirely different than with the dog cancer debacle. Obviously the world of I/O has emerged. And the results of last year changed everything.
Comment by fox7mf on Feb 27, 2023 9:37pm
I said what I meant. Yes, the I/O world is much more advanced in 2023...and it still remains to be seen if PFE has ANY interest in Onc, but they apparently love Seagan. Now, for the sake of my gd sanity, please refrain from referencing me anymore in this exasperating thread. Good luck to all, hopefully the SP gets some support for you all sometime this year.

Hi Fox, difficult time! We share the same feeling. I can understand the secret when negociations are on but... In a way the very long shareholders deserve to know something. I'm about to sell a part of my holding, if no positive sigh show up in a week or two! Friday we will have nothing new from Matt? Hope for some positive sentences but not holding my breath. Yeah man, tough times. I'm gonna hold tight on selling until May 9(AGM), but news better flow. I thought NR'S would get us to about $10usd before May, but it looks like we'll be closer to $1usd. It's a "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" situation with PFE looking like they may be off the table. All that time, money and collaboration may have amounted ...more
