When buyout?

Copper is becoming hot again and orrcf will have 43-101 out in Q1.

So I guess the quickest could be April this year?

That will be Q2 probably.  First, they are, I think, going to announce a (small) pp. @80 cents?  Also, expect new drilling results from the South zone.  After that comes the PEA.  I'm waiting for that pp dip, that will be an amazing buying opportunity.  A big wave of new investors will look at Oroco once they have that PEA, 43-101 etc and they have stuck that for ...more

A buy without question. The core issues for value at ST are how many tons and what grade? If you recall, the 41 101 had just over 800 million tons of M & I. Some high grade and a lot a lower grade. However, with todays elevated copper prices, even these lower grades - 0.3%, are attractive to mine, mill and sell. So the value in the upcoming PEA will be (1) will they haave 800 million or more ...more

Someone said Q2 buy out. For me it sounds way too optimistic. More like Q2-24. Don't we need at least PFS first before buy-out, maybe FS? And some more definition drilling at the South Zone? What about the possible continuation to the south-east area which was indicated by 3DIP? That area needs to be tested.  South Zone needs a lot of work still, and then there is Braziles. Is that done ...more

Yes - PEA is the start of hte sales process - then between 6 and 18 months a deal should close. Regarding s buyout on a PEA, it depends on the quality of the PEA. Buyers will build their own financial models, however the focus will be on the geology. I expect since the geology is attractive as this is a near surface deposit, it will be considered favorble geology.

Any buyout will not come this year for the reasons you mention. However, M&A frenzy could pop up in times of copper shortages. The stock will rerate this year I think. This is a 6 months - 24 monhs trade. I get in size, to profit more. Do expect 1 or 2 raises though.

Just raised 4m.  Will this be the last one until buyout, or more money might be needed for drilling?
Comment by ORCmmM on Feb 22, 2023 2:51pm
Now we've seen "Phase One drilling program" being mentioned few times in different occasions, what do we think of that? When does the "Phase Two drilling program" start and whats the plan and timeframe of that?    South Zone definitely need some work and Braziles is basically just full on wild exploration with many holes needed, though i think they know very ...more

That's my line of thinking as well. More drilling needs to done for a PFS. Big miners won't do a bid without a PFS, especially for a such a large Tier-1 deposit. But a good PEA will re-rate the stock. Also expect a pp to finance Phase II drilling.
