RE: We are now a gold producer
RE: We are now a gold producerThis may not reflect Q3 earnings and thus the reason PDL does not seem to be able to move into new highs. I have a position but will not add more until I see some improvement over 08. We are nearly 1.00 higher today compared to 2008 but have now 124,070,139 o/s shares compared to 84,338,604 in 08. I certainly do not want to see the below headline on Friday.
North American Palladium posts loss in Q3
2008-11-10 20:04 ET - News Release
Shares issued 84,338,604
PDL Close 2008-11-07 C$ 1.77
Palladium sales in the third quarter of 2008 were recorded at $199 (U.S.) per ounce, a price decrease of 42 per cent, compared with $344 (U.S.) per ounce in the same period last year.
Cash cost per ounce of palladium produced, net of byproduct metal revenues and royalties, was $530 (U.S.) per ounce for the third quarter of 2008 versus $225 (U.S.) per ounce for the same period last year. The significant increase in cash cost per ounce is attributable to the reduction of byproduct revenue due to lower commodity prices.
