Brookfield finally figured out that they would be better offbeing paid out in Declared Special Dividends rather than selling off their positions in 5 million share tranches! Good for them! If they wanted to sell their 85% position in the whole company they could easily sell it to a company like American Barrick for $2 Billion. Right now they may just as well receive the special dividends which PDL hauls in record amounts of cash with the high price of palladium. The 45 cents for Shareholders of record September first are receiving a 3.18% rate for just this quarter based on today's closing price! GLTA PDL Longs
