I would say your onto something Morchie. I have to submit referrals to gov on a regular basis. A Cutting Permit requires a 60 day referral to First Nations. If you throw in a Christmas Break then they give them an extra 2 or 3 weeks to respond.! I am not sure why John does not simply ask the question " When are you going to be making the decision"?

But as I posted yesterday, the Act also allows the Minister to basically use whatever time frame they want: 24 (4) The minister or the executive director may extend by order, with or without conditions, the time limit for doing anything under this Act, and may order an extension even if the time limit has expired. So... the waiting game continues.
