Re:Trades

Re:Trades
Further to you Question:

The cost to these type of transactions can be as little as $6.95/day per stock.
In other words: One can buy or trade over 100 transactions a day... if it is all
within the same stock...You only pay they fee once.

I have done this myself on occasion on direct trading...when unclear of what direction the stock is heading....
or if you just want to have some fun and twist some heads.....or attempts to push the stock in either direction to
potentially fulfill another side of your "wants"
ie: Selling down 20 lots of 500 shares can creat an opportunity to load up on a lower ask due to the fear instilled on others.   If the asks are low, buying up numerous small lots and at higher asks creats anxiety on fence sitters and  may spur on demand and create more asks in which to dump your load higher than you just acquired.
(Clearly we are not in that mode right now...But we wish!!!!

Brokers may charge more... but those r some of the benefits
of trading directly and with a reasonable trading desk.

Another theory: Perhaps PL had nothing else to do today due to the "imminent deal on 1402" and wanted to spur some ongoing interest......???

Hope that helps!
