RE:Resin definitionfisher, I don't have a biochemical background. My understanding is that the resin is made with the agarose beads on which the specific ligands are fixed depending what protein or toxin you want to purify or capture. This resin is use for gel filtration in chromatography columns, where the plasma goes thru. If somebody knows more or have a better understanding, correct me if I'm ever wrong.
