RE:Here's a crazy idea

RE:Here's a crazy ideamtnbkr,

I won't say it''s a crazy idea. But, I think it's too early at the moment for that.

Big pharma are buying either revenues with products on the market, or late stage drugs.

For now, PLI don't have enough revenues, and the drugs are in early stage.

My fear of a takeover attempt might come with the PBI-4050 results in type 2 diabetes.

My understanding of type 2 is that the early stage start with insulin resistance. That resistance lead the pancreas to over produce more and more insulin until it can't produce enough in a later sage.

I was looking back at the Vanderbuilt study and crossing informations. It seems that 4050 help the body to properly use the insulin in the early stage. In the advance stage, it also restore the pancreatic islets cells , where the insulin is produced.

If those results are reproduced in the human, big pharma might be very interested to have a different drug in a huge market.

PLI might start to fly over the radar with positive phase II results.

If somebody with better medical knowledge can add some precision on this, it will be welcome.
