cb30000There is no rationale to go to $0.01. Your theory makes no sense. This is how it works. Companies go public to raise money because they need lots. Being public is a pain in the a$$. Many requirements on accounting, insider trading etc. If they had the choice, they wouldn't go public, believe me. The ultimate goal is to make profits, and profits would be redistributed directly into shareholders pockets. That's how a share price basically goes up, to be bought out and be taken private. If Prometic is going to make a lot of money, you want to be the owner/shareholder to get these profits into the least pockets possible but your own, so to make a lot of money for yourself. PLI makes no money now, but is trying really hard to show that they think they will. The markets are simply waiting for a sign.
The deal in China was not the sign the markets were expecting. They want to see a real company investing into our products, drugs and technology. If Prometic along with Shenzhen can find biotech/pharma companies to JV, markets will show appreciation. If Prometic signs with the likes of Astellas or Takeda in Japan, markets will like it (they are large known companies that would validate PLI's products). Otherwise, even FDA appoval of plasminogen may be muted, until PLI shows sales numbers, than growth in those numbers quarter over quarter. The markets will definitely notice that. Than, most likely a domino effect.
This being said, if sales are poor, stagnant or decreasing, we will be punished even more. Those orphan drugs are chosen for their characteistics in bringing the most bang for the buck, ie, branch out from those with shorter trials into other drugs and medications that may target the masses. The orphan path brings the drug out quick, shows efficacy and safety. We go from there. Much quicker and cheaper way. Markets are waiting for VALIDATION resulting in $$$ and sales, that's all. We are very close to be able to prove that. Fingers crossed that we get positive results and that the numbers are larger and growing quicker than any expectations.
My favourite part of the CC, PL said to expect same crappy numbers this year. This way, expectations are set low, we are told not to expect better, so if PLI delivers any surprises to the upside, we are golden. In the meantime, we have a year of protection for over expectations. PL told us not too expect better numbers. Now, we go from here and we hope to get better results. Can't get any worse, can it? lol
Let's hope for many good surprises and maybe a surprise partnership?
I am surprised the Thomson family doesn't have billionaires firends willing to invest a few $$$ into the company... oh well, at least we have them :)
