RE:I would expect closer to 1 billion capexNunavut is much easier to permit a min in than the NWT. The Nunaluvuit government is easier to deal with than the various governments and banks in the NWT. IN the NWT you have to go through multiple enrivonmental asessments - but this is less so in Nunavut. As for the cost to construct a mine debate - you need to know what you are constructing become putting a price tag on it; what size of mine is the major question, do you need dykes to hold back the water (diavik), roads etc. CHildiak is much closer to tidewater than the EKATI and diavik mines - I expect it would be cheaper to build the same mine at Childiak than it would in the NWT.
