RE:I would expect closer to 1 billion capexAlso this is not like NWT with so many # of aboriginal groups with overlapping claims and each one having to be bargained with separately. For one this is on Crown Land not Inuit owned land and for 2 if they do get into an Inuit Impacts and Benefits Agreement its done through a regulated process and only has to be done once.
As far as consultations with communities, they do that every year and have been doing it every year for some time now. Barely anybody even bothers to show up anymore as it doesnt impact caribou, as they dont really go there, doesnt impact water bodies as its not under lakes, doesnt impact normal trails as they actually made the trail from Iqaluit to Pang better and once again Crown Land. People in Iqaluit are basically like, whens this mine starting already we want the economic benefits!
