RE:RE:RE:wtf

RE:RE:RE:wtfBulk sampling in the summer is unrealistic. Deep core drilling had the best benefit for the summertime use.

The LDD RC unit is big and cumbersome (almost like a mini-mill) and can only be practically moved over the ice.

The trenching is done by equipment (loaders, etc.) from Iqaluit and that gets brought up via the winter trail. Same on the outbound...it is cheapest to send the bags out along that winter trail and then wait for the sealift to arrive to ship it via cheap ocean transport.  Without an all weather road, you can't just rip up the tundra randomly to get material out. I don't think we grasp the concept of moving 1500 tonnes of rock let alone 500 tonnes. Half way across the country.

The intention to trench CH-7 I take as an indication of being aggressive on the project....which I see as a good thing. We have been through a few  2 year cycles where you do a major program...wait a long time for the results and then make a decision...you have already missed a field program timeslot or two.

Waiting for a PEA update (which I personally think money is better spent in the ground) to determine if a winter program is a go ahead is too little too late.  The timelines don't work.

Patience...exhausting....yeah those are the words to describe how this project has been developed and continues to be developed.

LONG...PGD
