Definitely complex and needs real attention from companies wanting to exploit resources there.
One of your comments suggests that Chidliak with all-weather road could save $$ by using local (Iqualuit) workforce.
Just wondering whether 12 shifts combined with 2+ hr drive each way would prove socially beneficial to community?
I recall that years/decades ago some miners/truck drivers in BC's Elk Valley would work similar shifts
living 2+ hr drive away. But that wasn't in Arctic conditions!
Just wondering your thoughts.
