No matter what you think the government wants the CASH...as they have proved in a short time with the announcement of the port....id assume they will need equipment to build a road to the port.....(at some future point pgd will use I bet) now thinking about POWER PLANT Iqaluit has a ancient/non feasible existing plant. Surely the port will require lots more power of which is unfeasible for the long run with the current set up. DO YOU NOT THINK THE LIBERALS WILL ANNOUNCE WITHIN THE YEAR OPTIONS TO POWER GENERATION? To any that don't believe you probably never been in the north otherwise youd understand how things work up here. BEST TO ALL !!

Iqaluit is already, by far, the most developed community in Nunavut. In fact going there to me is now like going South. Restaurants, bars, movie theater, fitness center, aquatic center and infrastructure. Including the largest collection of equipment in Nunavut. Many people see where it is on a map and go NOPE without really understanding the local community. If a mine cannot be made outside of ...more
