Quiz time

Thanks for manning the ship Griefman...glad I have a representative in my absent.

now...onto the quiz.

Who said this?

".....We will do this because we believe that the company will be able to use the capital that we provide them...to.um...answer an unanswered question. To unlock some value that is inherent in their assets in a way that could provide for an unsually rapid increase in first of all, the value of the company and then secondly in the share price.  In other words we won't buy companies merely because they might go up in price or merely because we think they are undervalued...we will provide capital where we think that the introduction of capital could be catalytic in terms of, first of value and later the price of the security...."

LONG...PGD  (your welcome James).

EKIM

ps. Is this a PGD forum or an EKIM forum? I thoguht it was the former...but get confused sometimes. Maybe I should incorporate myself into a listed company.

U r welcome Mike...manning is a sexist comment by the way... Just was wondering why you avoided this forum when you were posting on SI is all, as I'm sure I was not the only one who missed you and why you took so long to grace us with your wise thoughts and quizzes and stuff like that.... After all, you are the number one supporter of PGD on this forum, and yet you have nothing, nothing to ...more

This was always a possibility and in my earlier postings I mentioned how I was preparing for this event. It is unfortunate but not really all that unexpected. I have appreciated the fact that management has always given first crack to its shareholders, not juicy private placements. It is not a perfect situation as it requires more money being put in before further gains can be seen. There are many ...more

Kid, I'm with you on this.  Friedlands exercising, "ALL" executive officers and directors participating, AND a backstop.  Sprott.  Plus the potential for some news from drilling. In the conference call, it seems PGD had agreed to commercial terms with another party but couldn't get final company approval from that party, they were under a CA so hence the late ...more

The volume will go up after today, unless the buyers learned their lesson from the last 2 offerings. This is from  Kidlapik: "For me I have always used these opportunities to lower cost base, once the rights were in my account I could sell down shares knowing I could (if I chose) replace them at lower cost or increase my position over all if the price dipped below the strike price ...more

12.5c is the break-even between the rights and shares. Tomorrow the shares are going ex-rights. Let's see if there is any appetite for PGD over 10c. Once more, the speculation bounce might get killed by the supply of rights and shares.

A lot of good points normalguy. I was also a bit fuzzy on whether those commercial terms with that party were still possible in the near to mid-term or what the latest status is. In addition to all that there is the EOI due Sept 5th that I hope PGD pursues and lets the market know that they are pursuing.  That could be signficiant. LONG...PGD EKIM

My guess is yes it would be possible and probable. I think it was a timing issue, PGD need $ now for the program, but couldn't wait for the parties final approval or tweeks. Once commercial terms are agreed upon, both parties are interested and would have invested a tremendous amt of time to get there. So, we get the 10 million, pump the Enterprise Value up (both multiplier and NPV), and now ...more

Sometimes cryptic...actually a lot of times I am cryptic normalguy. Check out the blog - events timeline -- Events timeline You will find a link realted to the EOI on that page. I would expect to set aside 45 minutes to delve through all the details and how it could relate to Chidliak. A lot of information...and I do hope this is pursued for the project. Things like this sure make the all ...more
