Not sure if anybody has an answer for this question but my curiosity is killing me. Does anybody know why virtually ever trade is a cross trade and why anybody would bother trading, three days before the deal basically closes, at 23.75c and 24c? I said the Friedlands or their proxies could have been buying up the shares in the open market to account for the trading. Under the Canadian takeover laws, eligible institutions such as hedge funds, Dundee, etc. can avail themselves under an Alternative Monthly Reporting System (AMRS) rather than the Early Warning Insider Reporting system. It is permissible to solicit proxies under AMRS for ...more

does it really matter anymore?  This is over tomorrow, no white knight, the Friedlands are taking thier ball and going home, longs lost in overtime.   Take your money and put it into something more profitable, diamonds are done, diamond exploration will move to fabrication, DeBeers is already taken a position there, go with the millenials, and healthcare, pot,(look to retail IMO),fits ...more
