You also run the risk of missing a lot of upside if this company is bought out.   I understanding what you are saying, but I believe it is better to sell calls when volatile stocks have had a good run up / appear to be peaking, and not when they are trashed in the toilette.   I realize we have a difference of opinion on the short / medium term outlook for PMG.  I am hoping that some of their low risk Q4 drilling is at least successful enough to get us back north of $10.  Good exploration could take us to $15-16.  A take out I believe could be $12-15. 

I spoke with IR.  In Q4 PMG is doing the following (potential to add up to 36 M barrels - even a third of this amount would be well received by the market):

heavy oil area - 4 strat wells being drilled

corcel - 3 wells

Sheshea (Peru) - results in late Oct

Central Llanos - 4 horizontals at Yenac

Guadea (spelling is likely wrong) - side tracking the well
