PDI spin-out

PDI spin-outPTQ's direct mining costs are now about $30 million per year .
PDI currently does the prestripping and few other srvices , but with their new equipment , will be able to get the entire mining services contract.

Direct mine development of the Cobre copper copper begins in 2011 and will take about 4 years to construct.
Total costs are $4.3 billion ,of which about $2.5 billion are direct mine development costs.
This amounts to about $600 million per year.

Included in this is  pre-stripping  requirement  of about 1.8 billion tons .
Cobre was PTQ's baby but too big for it to develop so its Jved 80 % to Inmet and teck.
It sold its remaining 20 % to help develop the Molejon mine.

With Fifer negotiating the Cobre deal with Teck and with Panama requiring a large percentage of the development contracts to go to Panamian companies , you can bet that PDI will garner a substantial part of the development costs. $100 million per year would see very conservative.

A 25 MW hydro generating plant is also on PDI's drawing board , and perhaps supplying the power for other mining projects as well..
Given this perspective, and taking into account of its aggregate business, its not too extreme to state that PDI will have a market cap of  $200 million or so , once these contracts and developments are in place over the next year or so.
If you think this is rediculous, consider that Fifer  took an unknown copper discovery and turned it into a  $4.2 billion project 5 years later.
