GoldKeep in mind that the CME has raised margins on gold, an effort to cool the market. When they did this to silver i believe they raised margins 4 times in about a week and clobbered silver. We'll have to see if this works for gold, but the long term is still secure. Remember even if gold were to correct a few hundred dollars it would only be a correction and producers will still be highly profitable, in the end gold is going to make a run to 2,000.00 plus, it's the only trusted form of currency available.
