It is the most important question regarding Inmet's HT of PTQ and FQ's offer to buy Inmet.  Why didn't FQ bid for us if it's true that Inmet is desperate for our land use rights?  If I were FQ, I would certainly want the land use issue settled before I bought Inmet.  Also, if I were FQ, I wouldn't want to get in a bidding war over PTQ  with the company I'm trying to buy out on friendly terms.  They might or might not have been in discussions with us, but if they were, they didn't follow thru.  It might be that the price Fifer wanted for land-use rights and/or total buy-out was too much for FQ to stomach.  On the other hand, it might be that Fifer and FQ agreed to a land-use price prior to FQ launching its bid for Inmet.  FQ might be waiting to see how Inmet settles the land-use issue before launching another bid for Inmet.   There is no way for us to know what's going on at this point. Soon-or-later, if Inmet is not bought out, Inmet will either go to arbitration or settle with us.
