Questions for CEO

A bit late to this, but my questions to the CEO would focus on the US$500 million of backlog.  What is the split between implementation revenues and recuring revenues?  What is the expected time frame for this backlog to be recognized into revenues?  For the recuring revenues within the backlog, how much of that would be net incremental to recuring revenues recorded during the first quarter?

BuyNMonitor, the backlog is a very important metric, as your post indicates.  This the definition of backlog in QTRH's reporting: We use the non-IFRS measure "backlog" to mean the total value of work that has not yet been completed but that in management's experience of similar situations has: (a) a high certainty of being performed pursuant to existing contracts or work ...more

I've been waiting forever for this talk of  7.5x multiplier to the original contract worth surface again. Has any additional funds of this nature been recognized yet with respect to the $500 billion in backlog?

Fair question timclarkes.  You should ask QTRH.  I suspect that it's just recently that the 7 contracts have started moving to operations (some full; some partial), except for the E-ZPass Hub, which appears to be a one off.  Please share what you find out.

Before you contact the company to ask, you should revise the data point. $500 BILLION? Or maybe you mean 500 MILLION???  But sure, think BIG ! Someday maybe. Wooohoooo!

Thank you cabbie, great additional information.  The current backlog represents 14 quarters of latest revenues, and the backlog is likely conservative based on your comments; this is very encouraging.  As time goes on, I expect management will provide more detail within quarterly reporting of both the backlog and the portion of reported revenues related to ongoing services (as opposed to ...more

Here are a few more tide bits passed on to me............ The price paid for ETC was to high........ that's why we've had indigestion for the past 2 years........ This issue has largely been addressed , this quarter should cover the final small indigestion............ Their goal is to achieve $240 million Us of revenue in the next 2 years ..........That achievement would change the current ...more

Thanks homework.  US$240M in 2025 requires a 29% CAGR from US$144M in 2023.  Now, QTRH needs revenue news to give substance to a US$240M target.  Luckily, the show-me analysts covering QTRH only have a +8%  target for 2024 - meaning any kind of solid revenue announcemnts shoudl move up the share price. I like your indigestion metaphor.  There are not many that would ...more
