RE:Guys, you have to learn to live with ...You can never get rid of shorting as there is always going to be someone out there that doesn't have a sell order set.

 What we can do is make sure our stocks are not borrowed to use against us by blowing out bid walls and triggering stop losses when it is dumped. The more of us doing this, the more difficult it will be to drag the market down through what is effectively market manipulation.

 It's common sense and it's a free, low risk tactic, particularly is your sell order is set to something that is high enough that you won't regret selling at that price even if it happens to make it there.
