I think it's very simple. Power and Money. And a gift horse. It's very cheap compared to the prize to employ a boiler room team with a broker or brokers. They drown the bullboard distorting and bashing on the principle that a lie repeated 100 times becomes the truth. Of course you always have a few real posters with legitimate apprehensions or who are trying to buy in at a cheaper price. The broker(s) has a float at his disposal and screens that show all trades and bid asks including Stoplosses that he can wash out in the first 15 minutes of trade. He sets up elephant (iceberg)asks to freeze momentum and drops 1000 or 500 share lots into ask to create gaps and sweep more Stoplosses legally using the oddlot brokerage rule. There must be a million oddlots misused like this in a year. This is prevalent in high opportunity penny stocks with large floats. I recognize the trading pattern volume  and multiplicity 
Of basher distorters immediately. While weak hands get fleeced I accumulate and hold. I'm convinced this will either be a great mine or a bonanza. I'm content to hold and wait. Who is doing it.
