RE:RE:Is Gold FieldsTraded in NASDAQ with a Mkt Cap around US$ 2.20B ( or Cdn$2.7B). It (along with Silver Standard Resources) was trying to take over KL with a Cdn$1.4B offer (about 2 years ago) which was rejected (by KL/EricS).
Instead KL took over Newmarket to make itself more expensive (the one with the Fosterville mine with the Swan high-grade zone, high-grade is king!) in Australia. Now, KL has a Maket Cap about Cdn$5.4B (a tad out of reach for GFI), and the rest is history. But, the world is still small. They may meet again down under.
