UPDIP : imagine standing in front of a rock wall. Your nose is touching the wall. But your feet are 5 feet away from the bottom of rock face. That’s the slope ( slant ) of wall. 
This is just an example. But you get what I mean. 
Now they Airleg . Meaning pneumatically drill the bottom 1/3. Of wall. Many holes in a horizontal line. 
Insert blast tubes. 
Rock fractures. Collect the $$$. 
Lets hope the face shown in photos has lots of glitter behind it !
There is a huge chance that it’s feet or meters deep in face. Gold that is.
