Lions Bay TAKEOVER?
I rather doubt that as a possibility. However, with Lion's Bay having a nearly 50% position in the company will make Lion's Bay a Kingmaker.
Sometime down the road someone will want a large position of exploration properties in Peru. If that company wants to purchase the whole portfolio they have no choice, but to entertain Lion's Bay and enlist their help. That means the small Fidelity Minerals will now be dealing from a position of strenght instead of a position of weakness.
The price for those assets just went up knowing this.
If any suitor thinks that they will get the Fidelity assets on the cheap, they are delusional. If the acquiror wants to buy the Fidelity properties, their best course of action would be to do it through a cash and share offer; or alternatively a share offer. My speculation is the cash and shares, is the way it will go down. Be happy that Lion's Bay is in Fidelity's corner.
