You are correct. The ex-div date is tomorrow. So whomever holds the stock tomorrow at close receives the dividend.  If I sell today to you, those shares do not settle for 2 business days. So ...more

So with settlement dates included we are now effectively ex-div. We seem to be holding strong despite that and the doom and gloom news!
