SIR Royalty Income Fund (the Fund) holds investment in SIR Corp (SIR). The Funds' investment, SIR is engaged in the business of owning and operating full-service restaurants in Canada. SIR has concept restaurant brands, including Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill, Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar, and Canyon Creek Chop House, signature restaurant brands, such as Reds Wine Tavern, Reds Midtown Tavern, Reds Square One, and The Loose Moose, which are used by SIR under a license agreement with SIR Royalty Limited Partnership (the Partnership. The Fund receives distribution income from its investment in the Partnership and interest income from the SIR Loan. The Fund indirectly participates in the revenues generated under the License and Royalty Agreement through its Investment in the Partnership.

My wife and I never fight. When it was trading at around $1.50 she told me to sell it all. I had bought all the way down despite the incredible financial pressures that we faced last year. I already had a significant investment in the company so every buy was a bitter pill to swallow. I flat out told her I would not sell it. She was angry for a couple of days and I could see her checking accounts to see if I had sold.
I remind her of those days once a week now :)
this has been a wild ride. Especially for something I was initially loading up on as a safe income based play. Nice monthly distribution, little expectation of significant capital appreciation. 

Im very happy that I'm in the green, but there are many out there, that relied on the income, that are not.
