Busy patios

Busy patiosNo doubt the consumer is coming back to dining out. I visited two Jack's patios over the last week, the first one on Yonge and Sheppard where Jack's has a gorgeous rooftop patio. Unfortuntely, it was impossible to get in.... the wait was just too long. So I opted to dine elsewhere at a makeshift outdoor dining setup on the road. Not ideal, but like many the desire to dine outside the 4 walls at home was too strong.

Later, on Saturday I visited a combination Scaddabush/Jack's location around 5:30 pm. The wait was 30 minutes, not too shabby but it turned out to take a bit longer to get in. Food was great and service was great too.

On a sidenote, I asked the server how it's been, they confirmed the re-opening traffic has been brisk. He was glad to be working again, in fact, he said that about half of all servers did not come back as the long shutdown forced many to leave the industry. Hopefully good times ahead from here on for all.
