Dividends start tomorrow?

July 7 is when they're going to start or announce the dividends?

Good question!  July 7 always seemed an odd date to me.  My understanding is that this is simply  the dividing line between the deferred and the current distributions.  I don't expect an announcement tomorrow, but perhaps in a couple of weeks when they have a better idea of what the distribution is going to be.  I could be completely wrong, though - and of course we ...more

Ontario indoor dining, which is where the majority of the restos reside, is set to reopen in a couple of weeks. I have been doing some visual checks of surrounding locations and the customer traffic looks decent. Thankfully the vaccines are working which will make indoor dining a permanent reality even with the delta variant or more that may inevitably arise. Whatever the dividend to start is 2 ...more

Yeah, I don't see a relapse on the cards in Ontario.  England has taken the right approach and scrapping all restrictions on July 19 - they have basically said if we don't do it now, when are we going to do it?  Enough is enough, Distribution restart is key in the short-term.  Longer-term, comp  sales are going to be as critical as always but it's going to be a ...more

GET LOST, CHEFBOY and come back (if you really must) when you understand the business model and finances.

In all fairness chefboy has some decent points. I don't think he is a troll, I do think he would like to buy in, if he could at a decent price point. BJ, I've read the posts, and I don't see it, but honestly, in the past, I have not been happy with some of your posts. I fully respect you now. But it took time. I would honestly consider leaving at the right price now. Flamingo, and BJ ...more

What's not to understand or get real about...it was announced last month that dividends are being reinstated July 7, 2021.

Amg, You need to reread the June 23rd bulletin. In subsequent events, royalty and interest payments start on July 7th to Sir but dividends have a condition, need 50 seats available of indoor dining for six consecutive weeks. So, I believe Step 3 will open indoor, so I'm not expecting didvidends till end of October.
Comment by BlueJay2020 on Jul 08, 2021 9:53pm
Actually, I think that is incorrect. It's a bit of a strange way of doing it (LIFO not FIFO) - but the July 7th date relates to distributions on current sales.which will be monthly starting this month. The condition relates to the distributions since COVD struck, which will result in the $4.8M of accrued royalties/interest being paid out evenly from the trigger point until June 2022.  I ...more
