RE: Twiga 1 Tim9Lives; To me, the relevance of AOI discovering additional Oil at Twiga proves that the Super-well at Ngamia was no fluke. I in no way am trying to infer that if Twiga hits, so will Simba. Look at the bigger picture here. This is all about geology and this is not a mining, area-type play where you hope to hit a vein on trend, etc.
The rift valleys in Kenya are proving to hold massive quantities of Oil! What Simba has on its block and what makes the additional AOI discoveries matter - are very similar geological conditions that point to a much higher probability of success because the geology and rift valleys are alike.
If you have a few minutes, check out AOI's new presentation, page 2. They have included the number at 23 Billion Barrels "unrisked" for all of their Kenyan blocks. Simba's block adjoins AOI & Marathon's block 9 which looks to hold structures capable of containing hydrocarbons and hopefully Oil.
2 key points:
1.) The more Oil found in Kenya will help Simba to attract the right partner and deal on a JV because the of similar geology and rift valleys.
2.) If the geology does in fact prove to be the same, then Simba just might have a very good chance at success when they drill block 2A.
And finally if PaiPai discovers Oil that will be on the same basin as SMB which could add to the theory that Oil is everywhere in Kenya, if you know where to look! (AOI calls it the string of pearls similar to those discoveries next door in Uganda )
