BB's motives stem from the fact that he trades stocks! More specifically he trades SMB.

The weak, fledgling little-nay sayers that don't understand the difference between common stock and "live stock" will eat it up sponging desperately for support to their anti-simba campaign!

There are trading patterns with this stock when BB shows up - just watch - perhaps he's the one 100k short at present but you can be guaranteed he owns SMB, by his own admission, he trades it. 

Perhaps its a coincidence?  You be the judge.
