RE:RE:RE:RE:The trouble with 3DGo
Hedge Old Buddy:
3DGO better make some money and break even at least ,it`s our only source of revenue in the short while, except for Vizio and Cyberlink which are very small.
There`s nothing in the horizon or any firm thing for the next two quarters,I`m thinking on the update fron December when the launch of Panasonic-3DGo was changed till the end of the Fiscal year (May 31st) but maybe revised again on the AGM to sometime in April, be nice to see an advanced release date of any kind, we never had any.
Also if you read my last post to CMax the treasure hunt hints for an LG signing grew another notch IMHO.
IN an ideal world every TV would have the Hi-Fi and the 3DGo APP ,but we don`t live on one.
Keep going back to the RG question about an integration of a Samsumg-LG and the answer was around four months, always remembering that our chip has been installed in almost all Major manufacturers for the last two years.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

On the Panasonic-3DGo deal that I asked why did they not get the Hi-Fi and get it over, cheaply, easily and with all the benefits you gave me an answer.
BUT I want to to read the SIO statement from the last Update :

Since the 3DGO! service is only available in SENSIO Hi-Fi 3D, technology licensing revenues can be expected from all 3DGO! deals with CE manufacturers unless otherwise specifically indicated. For legacy devices (i.e. 3DTVs already sold to consumers), most technology licensing deals will be based on a recoupment from the revenue share portion which would normally be paid to CE manufacturers for the use of their connected 3DTV platform. In other words, SENSIO will be deducting a technology licensing fee from the revenue share normally payable to CE manufacturers on each rental by end users. The Panasonic agreement is based on such licensing terms.  The standard licensing model based on a per unit royalty remains active and is our preferred model, namely for future 3DTV sales in the market.

The way I read it is that on the legacy Panasonic-3DGo deal (alone) SIO will deduct a technology licencing fee  usually paid to the CE manufacturer on each rental by the end user and the Panasonic deal is based on that principle.
BUT:
The standard licensing model based on a per unit royalty remains active and is our preferred model, namely for future 3DTV sales in the market,

Which I read as that the original designed way still the preferred one and will apply to all future sales of 3D TVs sales in the market.
Not a very clear statement but I read it as Panasonic will have one deal and they like to keep the original for future sales of others.
Correct me if I`m reading it wrong but convincingly :-)).

I agree with all the other things, it`s been horrible with pathetic results and I hope and wish that this new BOD can change things for the good.

Cheers.

PD, I forgot to mention on CMax post that the word on the street was for a $700.000 loss for the quarter, I used the word bombshell for a combination of things, we came in higher, the way it was released just hours ahead of the AGM and amidst all the rumors flying and I still maintain that the SP did not tank (yet anyways) because of the rumors still alive and the new BOD, again IMHO.
