RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Speaking of "competition"...
Hedge-CMax:
With due respect and IMHO, sorry for the length.
First of all, we don`t really know what porting is in this case, you can google it and there are a few explanations that could fit our case, but you can read them and make up your mind.

WE were told by Routhier that all movies streamed on 3DGo will be and will need the SIO Hi-Fi.
By the way we have been told so many things that never came to be that one more would not matter.

The fact is that Panasonic even though it has the SoC chips for the SIO Hi-Fi installed on their TVs chose not to go that way (so far) and did the deal with Sensio using "porting", why??, who knows.
All depends how you interprete "porting" that can give you the answer.

When you read on the Corporate Update of DEC 2013 you see:
Our goal for the rest of the year is to add new CE manufacturers and to port the 3DGO! store as quickly as possible to their devices in order to increase our potential user base for the future. We are very excited with the growth potential of 3DGO! and by the early results after only six months of operations.”
Again going back to porting and since Neu-Lion was very involved, is this "porting" a bit of their technology and a bit of ours ported through changes to the hardware-softwares ?.

We don`t know ,BUT the fact is that the word SIO Hi-Fi does not show on any NR with Panasonic.

Remember that if you activate-enable the chip on your TV it`s as easy as 1 2 3 to download the 3DGo up and voila !!, not in this case.

PR from SIO of May 8-2013 announcing the Wi-Lan Panasonic settlement of the switch infrigement.

On August 26-2013 a bit more than 3 months later we reached a deal for Panasonic to show our 3DGo movies on their 3D TVs.
There`s no sign of SIO Hi-Fi,which would have made sense at the time since we did not know that the deal was done via "porting", we found that out on the DEC 2013 Company Corporate Update.
So all we knew was that Panasonic was going to show our movies, and we "assumed" that the "available through the Viera Connect Apps Navigator was the way.

So Panasonic settles for the switch infrigement and makes another deal three months later but not for the full SIO Hi-Fi.
I always asked why ?, what was wrong?. Nobody ever asked and our assumptions don`t match.

Agreement also covering future expansion of 3DGO! service in Canada

MONTREAL August 26, 2013 – SENSIO Technologies Inc. (“SENSIO” or “the Company”) (TSX-V:SIO) (OTC Markets :SNIOF), announced today that it has reached an agreement with Panasonic Corporation of North America, one of the industry’s major electronics manufacturers, to offer its 3DGO!TM VOD service on Panasonic 3DTVs across the United States and Canada. The service will be made available on all Panasonic 3DTVs, including current and future models sold in stores, as well as legacy models already in homes in those territories. The 3DGO! application will be available through the Viera Connect Apps Navigator, Panasonic’s application store, with a target launch of Holiday season 2013 in the United States.

“We are extremely proud that 3DGO! has been selected by Panasonic, a key industry player and a pioneer in the development of 3D consumer products which shares our strong belief in the future of 3D and remains committed to its success in the home”, said Nicholas Routhier, President and CEO of SENSIO. “3DGO! has once more proven its value on the market with its exceptional selection of premium content, which is a must-have for a successful 3D at home offering. We are also very excited to have a partner which will allow us to eventually address the Canadian market, opening new doors for future expansion to more countries and territories, which is one of our key priorities.”

3DGO!TM is the world’s first and only dedicated 3D transactional VOD service offering the largest selection of high-quality 3D content, including some of the latest 3D Hollywood blockbuster titles, via internet streaming to 3D smart devices. The application offers consumers quick and easy access to an ever-growing library of varied 3D content which SENSIO is committed to continue developing. Neither subscription nor additional equipment is required making it a simple, inexpensive and ideal way to watch 3D in the home. This is from the Corporate Update from DEC-2013, again 3DGo all over but even though we emphasized that SIO is fundamentally a technology Company the word SIO Hi-Fi still not there.

3DGO! UPDATE

Since the beginning of the year, SENSIO has experienced a steady growth in the number of users and average volume of daily rentals on a month to month basis. As at December 1st 2013, there were 8,019 registered users and 2,693 active users, a growth of 160% and 201% respectively since the end of the first quarter. These users all came from Vizio 3DTV owners as 3DGO! is currently only available on Vizio devices. With the upcoming Holidays and new titles to be released, the Company expects that the current growth trend will continue for the third quarter of the fiscal year. As for Panasonic, porting work of the 3DGO! store has recently begun with target availability before the end of the current fiscal year. The porting work, which has been deliberately postponed a few months to coincide with the recent closing of the private placement, is progressing according to expectations.

“SENSIO is fundamentally a 3D technology company and 3DGO! is by far our best promotional tool to increase our visibility as well as the market penetration of our technologies”, said Mr. Routhier. “The growth we are experiencing with 3DGO! in terms of membership, rentals and repeat business shows that a well packaged 3D home experience can be successful and appealing to consumers. In our view, our recent agreement with Panasonic demonstrates that CE manufacturers are beginning to recognize the added value 3DGO! brings to 3DTVs. While the growth of 3DGO! will be limited during this fiscal year by its restricted availability to a limited number of devices, we have planned numerous direct marketing activities to get the maximum out of the current install base. Our goal for the rest of the year is to add new CE manufacturers and to port the 3DGO! store as quickly as possible to their devices in order to increase our potential user base for the future. We are very excited with the growth potential of 3DGO! and by the early results after only six months of operations.”

I just made another phone call and confirmed my thoughts, that can be wrong again, but till somebody shows me otherwise convincily I`ll swim against the current.

Why didn`t Routhier explained this ?, it`s very confusing even for people on the know.

Perhaps InvestQC or 3DGuy can give their opinions ?.

A confusing Cheers.
