DJ, DJ why?? :-)).

You must have read the other posts.
I`ll try it to keep it short (if I can).

Remember Routhier said: that all movies streamed on 3DGo will be and will need the SIO Hi-Fi.
Well Panasonic ,does not have the SIO Hi-Fi, they do have the SoC chip embeded on their 3D TVs but they never signed a licence deal to activate them.
So if they don`t have the SIO Hi-Fi how will they watch 3DGo movies?.
They are "porting", whatever that means since Routhier never explained it.
My understanding is a mixture of both our technology and theirs ported thru software-hardware.
WHY ?.

Vizio has the SIO HI-Fi full Monty, so do Hisense and TCL, all Panasonic-Samsung  have is the S2D switch for which they are paying for infringing on it.

So Panasonic settles for the switch infrigement ,then signs a deal to show 3DGo without signing a deal for SIO HI-Fi,meaning they are "porting" to do it.

This is only with Panasonic, SIO hopes that whoever comes on board next will come via the SIO Hi-Fi and make things easier besides giving us royalties for licencing our technology.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Descifer this one on the Corporate Update from December 2013.

Since the 3DGO! service is only available in SENSIO Hi-Fi 3D, technology licensing revenues can be expected from all 3DGO! deals with CE manufacturers unless otherwise specifically indicated. For legacy devices (i.e. 3DTVs already sold to consumers), most technology licensing deals will be based on a recoupment from the revenue share portion which would normally be paid to CE manufacturers for the use of their connected 3DTV platform. In other words, SENSIO will be deducting a technology licensing fee from the revenue share normally payable to CE manufacturers on each rental by end users. The Panasonic agreement is based on such licensing terms.  The standard licensing model based on a per unit royalty remains active and is our preferred model, namely for future 3DTV sales in the market,

So that`s my case.

Cheers.
