Lamothze, yes (they did try) , no (it did not work) ,too complicated, too expensive, not worthwhile.
Neither streaming nor renting could make it, so right now they don't offer 3D.
There are few titles available for rent but you surf around in circles.

I read the link you attached and it was from a blogger with a new LG and it seems he does not have a clue about SIO-3DGo.

I have been checking some Forums and the same thing, we still have lots of work ahead.
Hopefully now and soon things will change.

I have made a wooden plaque that says " Never lose Hope".
