Definitely some potential upside here

We know there is value in the patents. How much WiLAN will pay SIO for them is a big question. I can only assume Routhier has some insight into that and is confident it will be a large enough amount to cover debts and have some left over or else why would he put up $100,000 of his own money?

Potential buyers for 3DGO is a more interesting question. Previous posters have mentioned Neulion, I think that would be an interesting possibility. They could buy it with shares and it would provide decent diversification for their sports streaming business. Neulion suddenly becomes the "streaming everything" company. If you layer 3DGO onto an already existing streaming business, the incrememtnal costs to run it are not much at all. You just need to cover minimum licensing revenues which I don't think we are that far away from after current holiday sales and rentals. And Neulion could still make the decision to expand internationally, etc. And since the studios have an interest in seeing their titles streamed they may be willing to renegotiate terms.

Hedge: All this is hard and unexpected by the way it happened. Many things don`t make sense and others are hard to comprehend, but at the end we got the wrong end of the stick none the less (again). Just to clarify a couple of things:. We know there`s value in the patents ,we were told many times 0.13 to 0.42 ,that`s for the package and assuming the best. We don`t know and probably never will ...more

Sailor.  Won't the value of the patents sold be reported in the quarterly financials, as a cash injection. Presume  we see this in Q3 reported in May.....if we are still around.

Trooperhobo: On Order #12 it says: The Court Orders that the LOI (Exhibit P4) and the cash flow forecast (Exhibit P3),be kept confidential and under seal until further order of this Court. Again new territory, but we have lived with confidentially clauses it seems forever. I don`t know how long can they keep it that way or if SIO can actually ask for an extension bypassing the Financial dates ...more

Sailor - What is your understanding of what happens after SIO sells the patents to WiLAN? Let's say for example, they received $2 million, would they emerge from creditor protection and continue on as "normal" focusing on 3DGO? Basically leaving us where we were before but with more cash in the bank? Or are there other conditions required to get out of creditor protection?

Hedge, if some of the current creditors are the Hollywood studios who have licensed movies to 3DGo, what incentive would they have not to cancel or not to renew the licenses?

An other question would be; what other options would they have if they do not stay with 3DGO? Reverting back to selling 3D DVD in stores, who is buying DVD in 2016 ? = revenu lost for them? Unless they have other streaming options??, If I was them,I would negotiate the financials with 3DGO to increase the chance of success vs no streaming revenues at all. The real cost for them is to keep ...more

polebrook - It would seem to me the studios are the main creditors, although not that large, and that they would have a large incentive to keep the deals in place. Studios like Disney almost exclusively rely on streaming for 3D revenues post box office. Other than Vudu, which is difficult to use and not available everywhere, 3DGO is the main place to do that. But for that to really matter to the ...more

Hedge.....from this post, I get the impression that you (and possbilby others) think that once patent sale is executed and the cash comes to SIO, then 3dgo business is as usual (with the beneifit of having some cash to cover expenses).  And thus, you think then they can come out from under court protection. I read the motion such that business as usual is under court protection not only to ...more

The original plan for the international deployment 3DGO was Europe by end of December and Latin American in February.https://www.stockwatch.com/News/Item.aspx?bid=Z-C%3ASIO-2314620&symbol=SIO&region=C I wonder how much money/ ressources are required to execute that plan(with or without delays)?. May be still feasable with $100k + patents sales + business partner’s help ...more
